Terms of service
Terms of service
Last updated: 21 October 2026 — version 1.0
These are the rules of the contract between you and Luceva: what you accept when you create an account, what you can do, what we do. The House rules are part of them.
1Who we are and what you accept
Luceva (luceva.it) is an online dating and social platform for adults, run by the operator of Luceva, reachable at matteo@luceva.it — "we" from here on.
The operator's full identity (name, registered office, VAT number) will be published here when the company is incorporated. The Terms will be updated and we will let you know.
By creating an account you accept these Terms and the House rules (luceva.it/regole), which are an integral part of them, and you confirm you have read the platform Privacy notice (luceva.it/privacy-app). If you do not accept them, do not create an account.
2Requirements
- You must be at least 18. You declare it at sign-up with your date of birth; a false declaration means the account is closed immediately.
- You must be a natural person acting for yourself. Scene organisations may have a separate profile, only upon approval (Rules, point 8).
- One account per person. Whoever creates several accounts to get around limits or blocks is closed.
3Account and verification
- The account is personal and cannot be transferred. You are responsible for what happens with your credentials.
- Identity verification is optional to sign up, browse, receive and reply; it is required to start conversations. It is carried out by an external provider: we only receive the outcome and a session identifier, never your documents. How we handle the outcome, and what we never receive: platform privacy notice, section 4.
- Your verification level, any subscription and the state of your account are determined by us and cannot be changed by the user.
4Content you upload
Yours. Photos and texts remain yours. You grant us a non-exclusive, free and revocable licence, limited to hosting, processing (resizing, compressing, removing metadata) and showing the content on the platform according to the visibility settings you choose. The licence ends when you delete the content or the account, except for the copies needed to meet legal obligations or to defend a right.
Declarations. Every time you upload a photo or send one in chat, you declare that it shows only you (or only the holders of the couple profile, both consenting) and nobody else. We keep the text and the date of every declaration, even after the photo is deleted. What we keep of the declarations, and for how long: privacy notice, section 7.
Forbidden: images of other people without their explicit consent; content involving minors (we report it to the authorities); illegal, violent or hateful content; commercial content on personal profiles; material covered by third-party rights.
Explicit. You can mark a photo as explicit. Explicit photos are visible only to registered users who have enabled their display in their own settings. Sending unsolicited explicit content in chat breaks the Rules. The visibility rules are in the privacy notice, section 3.
Confidentiality. Do not save, share or republish elsewhere other people's profiles, photos or conversations. For intimate images it is also a criminal offence (art. 612-ter of the Italian Criminal Code).
5Messages and limits
The number of conversations you can start is limited according to your level and any subscription (Rules, point 6). Limits apply to everyone, paying or not. Replying and receiving have no limits. Messages are your data and the other person's: what we do with them is in the privacy notice, section 2.
Messages cannot be edited or deleted after sending, for moderation and evidence purposes.
6Subscription (not active at launch)
Signing up, browsing, receiving and replying are and will remain free. A monthly subscription will unlock the ability to start more conversations. Price, duration, renewal, withdrawal and refunds will be stated when it is activated, in compliance with the Italian Consumer Code.
Whoever joined the waitlist before the opening is entitled to the founder conditions shown on the site at the time of joining.
7Moderation, reports, decisions
- You can report profiles, content and conversations. Every report gets a case number and a reply with the outcome and a short reason.
- We can remove content, suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or the Rules, with the graduated consequences set out in the Rules (point 9).
- If you disagree with a decision, you can ask for a review by writing to ciao@luceva.it and quoting the case number. We reply within 30 days.
- For content involving minors or crimes, we report to the competent authorities.
8Deletion
You can delete your account from the settings at any time. The account is deactivated at once and deleted after 30 days, during which you can reactivate it simply by signing in. On deletion the profile and the photos disappear; the messages you wrote remain visible to those who received them, anonymised ("Deleted user"). We keep the declarations about images and the reports for the periods stated in the Privacy notice. The step-by-step path is at luceva.it/cancella-account. What remains and for how long: privacy notice, section 7.
We can close your account in the cases set out in the Rules. We can close the service with 60 days' notice by email.
9What we do not guarantee, and limits of liability
- Luceva is a meeting place for adults: we do not guarantee outcomes, compatibility or other people's behaviour. Identity verification reduces fake profiles, it does not remove them, and it is no guarantee about anybody's intentions.
- You are responsible for your interactions, online and offline. Meeting someone in person is your choice: do it in public places and with the care you would use with anyone.
- The service is provided "as is", with possible interruptions for maintenance or external causes.
- To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data caused by third parties, or the behaviour of other users. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer.
10Changes
We can change these Terms. Substantial changes are communicated by email at least 15 days in advance; by continuing to use the service after that date, you accept them. The version in force, with its date, is always at luceva.it/termini.
11Law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes with consumers, the competent court is that of the consumer's residence; you can also use the European online dispute resolution platform. For everything else, the court of Milan.
